Free Community Activities
If you are like me, then you like to do activities based on the weather. If it is going to be beautiful outside, then we are going outside and staying outside all day. If the weather is a little rainy then we will go outside for a little bit, then find something else to do inside. I do feel like I am at my home a lot - I work from full-time from home - and there are some days where I just need to get out of my house. Or even get out of my neighborhood. I’m sure others can relate to this feeling too.
On the weekends or sometimes in the evenings after work, I like to look at local, free community offerings for my family. It helps me get out of the house and also have some variety. I love looking at all of free community offerings and am honestly surprised by how many are provided. We can’t actually attend all of them because there are so many and that warms my heart. So many local businesses and community members spend their time and resources giving back to the community and I am very grateful.
As summer is approaching, I want to take full advantage of being outside and enjoying my community. I keep a list of all the places that offer free services and events. It is SO nice to have ideas in my back pocket for fun to go to that don’t hurt the wallet. I’ll share with you some of my favorite, free community offerings that we use.
