About Me

I am passionate about sharing simple, trusted resources with people who parent.

My name is Elizabeth King and I’m a first time Mama of one amazing, tiny human. Through my parenting journey, I have found this modern era difficult to navigate with a wide range of opinions and advice. I’ve also learned that the stakes have never been higher to raise strong, healthy, and independent kids. Parents and caretakers are battling new pressures and it can be difficult to know the “right way” of doing things.

The simplest and most vulnerable thing I’ve done as a new parent is ask for help from other seasoned parents. They actually have experience and will tell you what’s what. They know helpful resources, tricks, and tips and I trust them over some complete stranger’s video on Instagram. I now want to share my experience and resources with other parents and people who support parents. Here, you’ll find my perspective on modern parenting, high quality book recommendations, and durable products that parents actually use.

I’ve always been an avid reader and highly value the knowledge and insights authors have on important topics. As I stepped into motherhood, I’ve invested countless hours reading, researching, and talking with other parents about what they read, what products they use, and how they incorporate them into their unique parenting style. What I found is that there are countless parenting books, children’s books, and baby products on the market, which is overwhelming.

I wish I had a resource which curated parenting tips and tricks, book recommendations, and high quality products into one, trusted place. Since I haven’t been able to find that for myself, I created Mama’s Book Cellar. My perspectives and recommendations will continue to evolve as my husband and I use them and our tiny human continues to grow.

A little more about me, I live in Michigan with my husband, Joe, and tiny human, Jason (Jay, Squishy, or Bubbas). We have two mini-aussies, Gus and Finn, and one tiny cat, Scarlett. Yes… we have an equal number of people and pets in our house and YES it is a crazy circus at times. I love to read, run, hike, paddleboard, and scrapbook. If I could enjoy a cup of coffee each day and a glass of champagne each night, I would. I absolutely love being a boy mom, getting outside with my child as often as possible, and working my hardest to just have fun.
